The main difference between frameless and semi-frameless balustrades is how the glass panels are supported.
Frameless balustrades use thick tempered laminated glass with very little visible hardware.
Semi-frameless systems use vertical metal posts (usually aluminum or stainless steel) between glass panels.

AS/NZS 2208 compliance means the glass used in a balustrade has been tested and certified to meet the Australian and New Zealand safety standard for safety glazing materials in buildings.

This standard helps ensure that the glass is safe to use in areas where people could fall against it or where breakage could cause injury.
